  Rules for Media Representatives at SSCC Events

1. It is mandatory that you sign in at Registration on Thursday (Sam's Town, Las Vegas) or Friday (Bristlecone Convention Center, Ely) in order to get your media credentials to attend the Silver State Speed-Stop/Z2Z on Friday or the High Noon Shootout on Saturday. Without registering you will not be allowed on the course on Friday or Saturday!

To get your media credentials for Sunday's event, you will need to register after the Drivers Meeting on Saturday night.

2. You must attend the mandatory Safety Meeting for media representatives immediately following the Driver's Meeting on Saturday evening at the Bristlecone Convention Center. You will be issued your credentials at this meeting, without which you will not be allowed on the course on Sunday!

3. You may not cross the highway pavement at anytime during the event.

4. You may not wear predominately red or yellow clothing while on the course.

5. All media representatives, including photographers and cameramen, must remain off of the highway right-of-way behind the fence during the event.

6. Photographers and cameramen granted special permission to enter the highway right-of-way as INDICATED BY A YELLOW DOT ON YOUR CREDENTIALS to take photographs must remain at least 50 feet away from the pavement at all times and may only be inside the fence while actually shooting. Only handheld cameras may be used on the right-of-way, no tripods, camera cases or any other related equipment may be brought onto the right-of-way at any time during the event.

7. All media representatives, including photographers and cameramen, allowed at the finish line as INDICATED BY A RED DOT ON YOUR CREDENTIALS MUST be located on the west side of the highway. Media representatives are strictly prohibited from conversing or interfering in any way with Timing & Scoring personnel. NO EXCEPTIONS! Results will be published at the Awards Banquet, not before. If you need them sent to you, so indicate at the time you receive your credentials.

8. Drivers and Navigators are not obligated to give interviews or answer questions on the Starting Grid. Please ask permission of these people before asking any questions during this period.

Failure to observe the above rules may lead to
revocation of your credentials and removal from the course.
